The Consell de Mallorca has been developing since 1988 a wide range of actions to restore, preserve, protect and inform about the dry-stone walling heritage. These actions are the following::

Restoration: restoration of dry-stone buildings through the programme of the heritage gangs.

Study and description: drawing up of catalogues on different dry-stone structures (walls, paths, shelters) and participation in EU projects aimed at the study, cataloguing and reappraisal of dry-stone walling.

Local development: promotion of activities aimed at the development at a local level through dry-stone walling.

Protection: initiatives to protect dry-stone walling.

Diffusion: activities to spread the heritage of dry-stone walling (publications, exhibitions, conferences, etc).
