CamÝ des Presos

The track, known as the path of the Prisoners, was built in the 1940s to facilitate the emplacement of a defensive artillery battery on Cape Ferrutx. A large number of Republican prisoners worked on the track, even though in the end the guns were never installed.
It begins on the road that leads from ArtÓ to the hermitage at Betlem, and goes as far as Coll Paret, at the foot of the Puig de sa Tudossa mountain, which is a well-known vantage point for views over the Bay of Alc˙dia. On and around the track you can see the remains of numerous elements related to its construction: the military camp, barracks, water tanks, etc.
