Interpreting of all the communicative situations that take place between the institution and the deaf or deaf and blind citizen. The aim is cancelling the barrier of communication, an essential problem of the society.

- Interpreting of courses, programs, conferences, activities... in which users of the sign language participate.
- Interpreted records of the plenary sessions.
- Interpreting of the institutional acts.
- Interpreting of the different institutional advertising campaigns made.
The people whose language is the signs one.
Any person who, despite hearing, needs it at the administrative area.

Indicate the date, time and place with a minimum of three days before the execution of the service. The applications will be agreed by order of reception and urgencies have priority.

At the receptions:
Of the building of central services, head building of the Consell de Mallorca (Palau Real street, 1, Palma) and the Institute of Social Affairs of Majorca (IMAS, General Riera street, 67), where there is an indicative poster of attention in sign language, a symbol of the international easy reading, both for deafs and for those who hear, so the popularization of the new service is easier, and the applicant can be in touch with the interpreter so that the service may take place at the moment. If that is not possible, the user has to be sent to the usual mechanisms of application of the service before mentioned.

This service was born with the aim of supporting all the administrative situations in which deafs/ deaf and blinds may be excluded. As these situations may happen at all time, the Service of Interpreting of the Consell de Mallorca works 24 hours a day the 365 days of the year.
The applications may be made at the following hours:

The applications may be made at the following hours:
- Ordinary services: With a minimum of three days in advance to notice it, these kind of services take place from Monday to Friday, from 8 to 20 hours.
- Urgent services: We understand under the term 'urgent', the medical, policial and so on emergencies... 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.
