'La Balanguera' -popular local song that the poet Joan Alcover collected between the years 1902 and 1903 and turned into a poem- became the symbol of the majorcan society. It perpetuates and its projected to the future full of hopes. The Consell de Mallorca declared 'La Balanguera' official anthem of Majorca in November of 1996.
